"Learn to Fence"  Half Day Summer Camps

An introductory camp program designed to teach the novice fencer.  Experience the thrill of competitive fencing which uses a unique combination of quick thinking and athletic movement.  Our popular "Learn to Fence" beginning level program teaches footwork, blade skills, and the rules of conduct needed to for a successful beginner level fencing bout.  The fee includes use of all gear and protective equipment.  This camp is available for children ages eight to twelve.  Students should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable athletic clothing including tennis shoes and socks.  A parental waiver submitted on the first day of camp is required for participation.

Skill Building Camp

Serious beginner and intermediate level fencers should include at least one of these camps in their summer plans. Students will build their footwork, bladework, and bouting skills in an ambitious environment.  Before and after care available for an additional fee.

Challenge Camp

Students fencing at an upper-intermediate or competitive level will challenge themselves both physically and mentally.  Each camp will include ample footwork and drilling, as well as emphasizing strategy, goal-setting, and supplementary topics such as refereeing and armory.


          
Cost:               Times: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Days: Monday - Friday                Ages: 10 - 18 with competitive USFA membership or permission from coach
